The global campaign, ahead of the release of the animated comedy The Angry Birds Movie 2, included a recent photocall at this festive and colorful event at The London in West Hollywood.
Sterling K. Brown, who has returned as the voice of Garry Pig, appeared to be soaking up the atmosphere from the looks of his big beaming smile. Jason Sudeikis, who plays the voice of Red in both films, and new cast member Rachel Bloom, who has the role of Silver in the new film, also attended.
In the sequel to the original adaption of the Revio Entertainment game, the flightless birds and the scheming green piggies, take their beef to the next level. King Mudbeard, ruler of the Bad Piggies, plots revenge against the Angry Birds after they devastated his homeland in a prior battle to reclaim their eggs. When this new threat emerges it puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger. Red, Gad and Mighty Eagle recruit Gad’s sister, Silver, to forge an unsteady truce and form an unlikely super-team to save their homes.
During an interview, producer John Cohen promised "a lot of comedy and friction between the birds and pig. They have egos, they have some real trust issues." Angry Birds 2 hit theaters in the US in August.
