The caboose is owned by Dr. Leonard O’Donnell and located on his property at 11601 East Harry Street, Wichita, KS. The land on which the caboose is located has been sold for residential development

Dr. O’Donnell purchased the caboose in 1972. It was delivered from Minnesota to Wichita by rail and transported by Belger Cartage Co. to Dr. O’Donnell’s land. “He preferred to travel by rail rather than by air and wanted his family to have the opportunity to see the construction of a railroad car,” stated Mr. Theurer.
