(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 27, 2001 ) Singapore ¨C Fairex International Financial Systems Pte Ltd (Fairex), the rapidly expanding technology leader in providing web based, end-to-end financial systems solutions for banks, financial intermediaries and corporations, announces the appointment of Hidetaka Kohashi as Vice President of Sales ¨C Japan. Based in Tokyo, Mr. Kohashi will be responsible for implementing sales and operational strategy. Fairex has opened its Tokyo office, Fairex International (Japan) Limited, in order to better serve its existing client base and to launch its products, including Fairex BConnect TM and Fairex B2B TM systems, into this thriving market.

Mr. Kohashi brings over 20 years of Foreign Exchange trading experience and an in-depth knowledge of International Finance and IT solutions to Fairex. He worked as a currency broker in the Foreign Exchange markets of Tokyo, London, Singapore and Hong Kong where he developed his interest in financial services IT. Mr. Kohashi was formerly with City Networks, Japan where he served as Sales Manager leading the sales team in providing financial software solutions to Japanese banking clients. Prior to this, as Managing Director at Minex Corporation, Hong Kong, he was responsible for establishing Hong Kong as the largest Minex center outside of Japan. From 1985 to 1992, he was employed by Martin Bierbaum, commencing his trading career as FX Manager in Singapore, and moving through the organization holding positions of increased responsibility culminating in his final position, Senior Manager in Tokyo. He holds and BA in Economics from Meiji University, Tokyo.
