About Bodywise and designer swimwear
I was pregnant and I couldn't get a black nursing bra. In fact, I was actively discouraged from even trying to find one. I was told, 'Pregnant women shouldn't wear black lace dear?', as if I was some sort of weirdo. So I started a company to make beautiful underwear for pregnant women. We have now expanded our range to include designer swimwear!

Apparently there were lots of other women out there who felt the same as me - they wanted something feminine to celebrate their pregnancy, instead of the scaffolding that was on offer at the time. Designing for pregnant women requires an awareness of the dynamic state of the body as well as the need for it to be worn, during breast-feeding, for long periods of time. What we ended up with was the most comfortable underwear any of us had ever worn. Our designer swimwear is no exception.

We realized that women's bodies are by nature, dynamic and the same design concepts applied for all of our lives, not just during pregnancy.
