After meeting immediate success in Europe, AÏTALI™ selects DARE DECO™ to import and distribute its collection of printed furniture to the trade.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 07, 2004 ) Tampa, FL -- One year after the revolutionary printed altuglas chairs, manufactured using a unique worldwide patented tech¬nique, the young French company selects Dare Deco™ LLC, a Tampa Bay Florida based company, to import and distribute its unique collection of chairs, armchairs, tables, stools and deck chairs to the trade. Aïtali’s inspired work explores uncharted artistic territories at the crossroads of graphic and furniture designing.

A chair that doesn’t just sit there
One year after presenting its first chair, Aïtali has moved ahead: the furniture can now be found in more than 30 specialty shops in France and abroad, including Roche Bobois, the Conran Shop, Le Printemps Design, Les Galleries Lafayette, and Harvey Nichols in London. More than 400 pieces of furniture were sold in 10 months. The unique process of printing on Altuglas (a transparent plastic similar to Plexiglas, but purer) provoked such enthusiasm that the concept had to be developed further. The 2005 Aïtali collection had its debut at France’s largest contemporary furniture fair, Maison et Objet, and included 3 chairs, 2 deck chairs, two club armchairs, two table & stool sets. In 2005, Aïtali and its distributor DARE DECO will present his latest collection at the authoritative ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) show in New-York from May 14th to the 17th 2005.

Making an impression
Plants, furs, liquids, crumpled metal, old leather… These are the materials of this col¬lection. The refined, simple lines of the furniture, underscore the color, grace and light. The sensation is entirely new. The collection was born through the creative symbiosis of a team of graphic and furniture designers. According to Samy Aït-Ali, creator of the concept, “Guiding and fostering this fascinating creative duet made this dreamlike collection possible.” “Using the patented printing technology on the contemporary furniture market is simply a revolution of its own – American consumers that have visited the European trade shows have already purchased and shipped the pieces even though our US operations were not completely set up yet” said Serge Alfonse, Dare Deco’s President.
