Hall-Effect Current Sensor Market : Challenges and Opportunities Report 2018 - 2026
A new research study titled, “Hall-Effect Current Sensor Market” has been added to the comprehensive repository of Orbis Research.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 31, 2018 ) According to Stratistics MRC, the Global Hall-Effect Current Sensor market is accounted for $750.7 million in 2017 and is expected to reach $ 1771.68 million by 2026 growing at a CAGR of 10.1%. Factors such as increasing demand for intelligent hall-effect sensors, rising need for programmable and integrated sensors, continuous improvements in galvanic isolation-based hall-effect current sensors are some of the factors fuelling the market. Moreover, increasing use of energy management towards rapid urbanization and industrialization and Hall Effect sensors showing potential benefits in automotive industry are some of the opportunities during the forecast period. However, huge manufacturing cost of these sensors and rising demand for less expensive hall-effect current sensors are hampering the growth of the market.

A Hall Effect sensor is a transducer that varies its output voltage in response to a magnetic field. Hall Effect sensors are used for proximity switching, positioning, speed detection, and current sensing applications. These sensors are used to measure DC current, AC current, and even pulsed current waveforms. Hall sensors are commonly used to time the speed of wheels and shafts, such as for internal combustion engine ignition timing, tachometers and anti-lock braking systems. They are used in brushless DC electric motors to detect the position of the permanent magnet. Transducers are designed to sense the primary current flowing through them and provide an output signal that is proportional to the measured primary current.
Among technologies, BiCMOS technology has acquired highest market share and the growth of this segment can be attributed to various advantages which include huge power dissipation and low input density. The demand for hall-effect current sensors in automotive industry is growing rapidly as these sensors help in defending devices from over current and controls current in hybrid as well as in electric vehicles. Asia Pacific is dominating the market and the factors favouring the growth of this region are increasing demand for cloud connectivity, immense growth of these sensors from developing countries such as Japan, China and India.
