Theravance, Inc. (NASDAQ:THRX) advanced 3.67% to $12.43 after it announced that it has priced its public offering of 7,500,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $11.50 per share. Theravance has granted the underwriters a 30-day over-allotment option to purchase on the same terms and conditions up to an additional 1,125,000 shares of common stock. Theravance intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include funding clinical and preclinical development of our product candidates, drug research activities, manufacture of preclinical and clinical drug supplies, capital expenditures and working capital, acquisitions of technology or drug candidates, funding of obligations under partnership agreements, repayment of debt and other general corporate purposes. The gross proceeds to Theravance, before expenses, from the sale of shares are expected to be $86.25 million, assuming the 30-day over-allotment option is not exercised.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (ADR) (NASDAQ:TEVA) rallied 2.56% to $63.60. The stock today also touched a new 52 week high at $63.97. So far in this year the stock went up over 13%.
