Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) rose 8.60% to $15.17 after falling about 4% yesterday. Yesterday, the company posted a wider-than-expected quarterly loss and revenue that missed Wall Street expectations. The company posted a net loss of $53.3 million, or 58 cents per share, for its fiscal first quarter that ended January 31, compared with a loss of $24.8 million, or 27 cents a share, in the same quarter a year before.
Comtech Telecomm. Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) rising modestly after falling about 8.80% in yesterday’s session. Yesterday, The company posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit, but cut its fiscal 2010 outlook on a delay in shipping of backlogs. The company now expects 2010 earnings of $1.85 to $1.95 a share, down from its previous view of $2.20 to $2.30 per share.
D.R. Horton, Inc. (NYSE:DHI) rose 2% to $12.73 after falling less than 1% in yesterday’s trading session.
