(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 16, 2017 ) Los Angeles, CA -- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Stray Dog Denim Announces New Clothing Line, 2017 - Stray Dog Denim - a brand new outfitter for dogs, is launching their first line - The Hipster. The company was born out of a desire to help dogs find their own personal sense of style, but Stray Dog Denim is also dedicated to helping stray dogs find their forever homes. Lead designer, Sasha Rovin, came up with the idea for the brand when she struggled to find suitable garb for her edgy rescue dog, Scraps. Found on the streets of Los Angeles, Scraps needed outerwear that reflected his no-nonsense sensibility - hip, understated, durable and, of course, comfy.
The Hipster line includes matching kerchiefs, jackets, collars and leashes in 10.5 oz indigo denim. The peek-a-boo buffalo-checker lining and antique brass snaps are the finishing touches on this iconically lumbersexual look. "We have spent the last year putting together a great team to design, fit-test and source high-quality production materials," says Rovin. "We wanted something rugged, yet stylish, to be made here in the USA." The product line was developed in the garment district of Los Angeles.
True to its name, Stray Dog Denim is dedicated to animal rescue. They help to promote adoptions through social media, and look forward to more partnerships with animal welfare groups. "We want to ensure that even the scruffiest of dogs find their soul-mate. Sometimes all it takes is a little love and kindness to bring out the true personality of a shelter dog," says Rovin, who has trained two rescue dogs for therapy work in nursing homes. The company plans to encourage others down this path with "canine good citizen" training resources.
Looking to outfit your dog in a Hipster jacket or donate to a shelter in a fun way? Stray Dog Denim's Kickstarter campaign will run in the first quarter of 2017. For more information or to view the full Hipster line, visit www.straydogdenim.com.
