(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 22, 2009 ) Miami, Florida - As charities and non-profits struggle in difficult economic times, many are seeking new approaches to improve their fundraising efforts.

In that vein, the American Diabetes Association of Southeast Florida (ADA Southeast FL) is partnering with Get Moving Catalog to launch & promote a novel fundraising initiative called Diabetes Miami (www.diabetesmiami.com). The launch will take place on November 22nd during Feria de la Salud, a regional consumer health expo taking in Miami, FL.

Diabetes Miami will offer healthy living and diabetic friendly products for sale with a percentage of sale proceeds going to support the ADA Southeast Florida. Additionally, all profits generated at the event from the sale of “Kathy Smith’s Project: You! Type 2”, a diabetes management program, will be donated to help fund Diabetes research.
