"Grants for Success" Program Boosts Local Vermont Non-profits With New Signs

(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 15, 2009 ) South Burlington, VT - Sign*A*Rama is now accepting applications for free and discounted signs available to northern and central Vermont non-profit charitable and educational organizations through the new Grants for Success awards program. Applications are open through November 6, 2009 for a range of no-cost signs plus discounts on specific sign projects.
Sign*A*Rama has launched Grants for Success to support the work of non-profit groups through the creation or replacement of effective, affordable interior and exterior signs to aid in their mission.
"From the onset of our business, we have tried to be good stewards for our community," said Paula Diaco, co-owner of Sign*A*Rama with her husband, Bob. "We discovered pretty quickly that there are many great organizations in Vermont worthy of support, and our interest is to provide them signs that bring publicity to their cause."
This year, Sign*A*Rama of Vermont will give approximately $15,000 in free or discounted sign services and products to charitable organizations Groups can request signs for their physical location or for events, and they can include interior or exterior, temporary or permanent signs, banners, and trade show displays and graphics. Support will vary from discounts on specific projects or services to 100% free signs and service.
Businesses are eligible to apply for Grants for Success if they are a non-profit organization, the local affiliate of a registered charity, a local non-governmental civic organization, or a member of the public or private non-profit school system. Ineligible are individuals, political action committees, candidate election committees, lobbyists, and legislative or political advocacy groups.
Grant materials are available on line at www.signaramavt.com, or can be requested from Sign*A*Rama at 3073 Williston Road, South Burlington 05403 (802-863-6233). Deadline for applications is 5:00 p.m., November 6, 2009. Recipients will receive their awards at a breakfast reception to be held on January 7, 2010.
This is the first year of Sign*A*Rama’s Grants for Success program, which will become an annual event. Sign-A-Rama has been a member of the South Burlington community since owners Bob and Paula Diaco first opened their sign shop in December, 1994.
