Lockheed Martin Executive Elected as Chair of The Corporate Council on Africa
U.S.-Africa Business Summit at Forefront of Chairman’s Agenda
(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 30, 2009 ) Washington, D.C.— The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) today announced that Lockheed Martin Executive Michael Dignam has been elected as board chairman of CCA, commencing August 1, 2009. Dignam succeeds Jeffrey Sturchio who was recently named president and CEO of the Global Health Council.
Lockheed Martin is a global security company with more than 35 years of experience in Africa. Currently, Dignam is president of Readiness and Stability Operations, one of the fastest growing businesses in Lockheed Martin. He has served as vice president of Air Force/Joint Programs and started his career on the GE Government Aerospace Finance team.

Dignam has been instrumental in Lockheed’s role in Africa. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., from September 29 – October 1, 2009.
