As part of its lease agreement WhereToFindCare.com will take advantage of the entrepreneurial support offered by Ann Arbor SPARK. In addition to entrepreneurial support, the SPARK East building, located at 215 W. Michigan Avenue in downtown Ypsilanti, was also chosen for its proximity to universities and other small-business resources. "We rely on fresh thinking and talent supplied by local universities," says Barbara O'Connell, a WhereToFindCare.com co-founder. "We also have found it helpful to be so close to business experts from Eastern Michigan University, the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center and others. We're at a critical stage where we need these resources more than ever."
WhereToFindCare.com hopes to outgrow its incubator space within the next couple years and relocate elsewhere in Washtenaw County.
