Fine artisan jewelry design company donates to no-kill animal shelter
Fine art jewelry designers are also passionate pet lovers. During the month of June Bim's Bangles will not only continue to donate to a Florida animal shelter, but will also be urging clients to consider adopting a kitten or cat from an animal shelter.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 02, 2009 ) Lutz, Florida -- As part of its ongoing effort to promote cat and kitten adoption, American Humane Society created Adopt-A-Cat Month(R). Adopt-A-Cat Month is held annually in June. This is traditionally when shelters around the country are inundated with litters of kittens in desperate need of loving homes. The event encourages cat adoptions from shelters and promotes the benefits of owning a cat.
This year, BIMS Bangles, a Florida based fine artisan jewelry design company, has joined the efforts with a new line of hand made bracelets called, "Critter Care." 10% of the proceeds from this adorable jewelry is donated to Pet Pal, a St. Petersburg, Florida, No Kill Shelter. Lead artist, Chelsea Pavloff, says, "We've always rescued our cats from the shelters. There are so many in need of a home today that we thought we would try and help promote "Adopt a Shelter Cat" Month by offering our clients 10% off any cat or kitty bracelet they purchase in the month of June. We will then, in turn, give 10% to Pet Pal. It's such a great cause and Pet Pal does so much for those dogs and cats that would otherwise most certainly have been put to death."
Pet Pal's mission is to rescue dogs and cats, from animal shelters, that may otherwise be euthanized due to time limitations, illness, injuries or lack of socialization and training. They are also dedicated to educating the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership.
All cats from Pet Pal's are Spayed/Neutered, Vaccinated, FELV/FIV Negative, microchipped, and dewormed! Adoption fee for each cat is $60.
The Pet Pal Animal Shelter invests hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars on rehabilitating the animals we rescue. Most are either sick, injured or require specialized training. Unfortunately, the adoption fee does not cover our actual out-of-pocket expenses for surgery, medications, food etc. Being a non–profit 501(c)(3) organization we rely solely on donations, bequests, or grants.
