A top attractions survey is conducted annually by D.K. Shifflet & Associates, Ltd. in McLean, Virginia on behalf of the Governor’s Office in order tolearn which attractions are popular in the state. Surveys were mailed on July 14, 2008, to a panel of domestic leisure travelers who had traveled to and within Texas by August 22, 2008.The survey reports top-of-mind attractions for leisure travelers to Texas on trips more than 50 miles from their home.
