Grammy Award Winner to Review New Artists Music
A new music review column by Grammy Award Winner Glen Kolotkin will be dedicated only to newcomers on the music scene.

Now, he’s ready for a new adventure in the world of music. And that’s exactly what he’ll be doing – writing a fresh new music review column where he’ll be introducing first time song artists.
This new music review column will be dedicated only to newcomers on the music scene. After his long stint in the music business, Kolotkin is looking for a way to help promising new artists break into the music scene. "I am not planning on signing everyone I like, but I will give them the exposure they need to find someone who will. There are great unknown artists out there and I am dedicated to bringing them into the light,” he adds.

Kolotkin began his journey into this new area of musical experience with a feature about a previously unknown country singer named Tom Jackson and his new album, Southern Thang. He candidly shares his opinion of the new artist: “I liked the product so much that I bought the company.”
Glen Kolotkin is well-known in the music business, having been one of its top engineers for more than three decades. His work has spanned a variety of music genres, and he has engineered for a number of well-known artists. Some of the musicians with whom he has worked include Janis Joplin, Barbara Streisand, Santana, Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Jimi Hendrix, Joan Jett, the Rolling Stones, and many others.
Born in Philadelphia, Kolotkin grew up mainly in Long Island. He started out his recording career in the music business in the mid 60’s, taking a job as a Columbia studio engineer in New York. Later, he moved to the west coast before becoming an independent engineer in the late 70’s. He moved back to Long Island, New York in the late 70’s, and he has based his professional life from there since that time. His latest triumph was the engineering on Santana’s “Supernatural” album, which went 40 times platinum.
