Orbis International to be featured on Alexander Haig's 21st Century Health Television On February 8, 2009 Fox Business Network (as paid programming)
Multi-Media Productions (USA), Inc. announces that ORBIS International, a nonprofit global development organization dedicated to saving sight worldwide, will be featured on 21st Century Health, hosted by General Alexander Haig.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 04, 2009 ) According to the World Health Organization, 37 million men, women and children are currently blind. 28 million of these people are suffering needlessly. For all of the daunting statistics, one matters most of all – 75 percent of those suffering don’t have to be blind.
“ORBIS provides the tools, training and technology necessary for local doctors and other health care personnel to assess their needs and develop workable and lasting solutions to the tragedy of unnecessary blindness,” said Paul Hamilton, ORBIS chief of program. “By building up the long-term capabilities of eye care institutions, ORBIS helps its partners take action – to reach a state where they can provide, on their own, quality eye care services that are affordable, accessible and sustainable.”
JL Haber, Vice President of Programming for 21st Century Health added, “As the demand for healthcare reform grows, both internationally and domestically, ORBIS has positioned itself to meet this ever-increasing demand by bringing essential eye care to communities across the world. We are excited to have them as a guest on our program.”
