(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 05, 2008 ) Montreal - RenewABILITY Energy Inc, manufacturer of the Power-Pipe® Drain Water Heat Recovery (DWHR) system will officially launch, on Tuesday November 11, 2008 at 11h00, a pilot-project at the environment-friendly ÉcoTerra home built by Alouette Homes in Eastman, Québec.

Natural Resources Canada reports that by installing a Power-Pipe® Drain Water Heat Recovery system, it is possible to save up to 40% on domestic hot water costs, the second largest use of energy in Québec homes. DWHR represents a new and very promising energy savings potential for Québec’s residential sector.

The objective of this pilot-project centers on the validation of different commercial approaches aiming to increase the penetration of DWHR technology, in the residential new construction market in Québec. A 200$ instant rebate will be offered to the first 500 homebuyers equipped with a Power-Pipe® system as part of this pilot-project. This pilot-project is part of the PISTE program, one of Hydro-Quebec's Demand-Side Management (DSM) initiatives.

Members of the media will have the opportunity to see a Power-Pipe® system installed in Alouette Homes’ ÉcoTerra home and obtain more information about the pilot-project and the DWHR technology.
