Services Industry Executives Recognized with AFSMI Individual and Chapter Awards for Outstanding Leadership in Services Innovation
The Association for Services Management International (AFSMI) today announced the winners of its 2008 awards for outstanding leadership in services innovation, including senior executives from ClickSoftware, Qualcomm, The Reynolds & Reynolds Company and X
(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 23, 2008 ) LAS VEGAS, Oct. 23, 2008 – The Association for Services Management International (AFSMI) today announced the winners of its 2008 awards for outstanding leadership in services innovation, including senior executives from ClickSoftware, Qualcomm, The Reynolds & Reynolds Company and Xerox. In addition, the German Chapter of AFSMI was awarded Chapter of the Year honors.
The honorees were recognized today during a luncheon awards ceremony at the "Winning Service Strategies in a Shifting Global Economy" conference, co-sponsored by AFSMI, the Service and Support Professionals Association (SSPA), and the Technology Professional Services Association (TPSA).

The George Harmon Award: Bill Steenburgh, Senior Vice President, N.A. Solutions Group, Xerox
This prestigious award is named after George Harmon, one of AFSMI’s original founding members. This unique award honors an individual in the s-business industry who has made significant contributions to their company, to the industry, and to the AFSMI organization and their constituents.
Circle of Excellence Award: Simon Morris, Vice President, Marketing Operations, ClickSoftware; President, AFSMI UK Chapter
Presented to the AFSMI Chapter President who has demonstrated exceptional leadership through active participation, innovative ideas and bringing together service professionals in the UK chapter to discuss key industry challenges that have regional implications.
Presidents Club Award: David Bates, President, Customer Support, The Reynolds & Reynolds Company; Pim Bonsel, former AFSMI director; John Schoenewald, former AFSMI CEO and Executive Director
The Presidents Club Award recognizes long-standing AFSMI members who have provided leadership and commitment to the association and/or services industry through their participation and promotion of the association.
