Technology Professional Services Association Teams with The Insight Group, McMann-Ransford, Neochange and RTM Consulting to Develop Enhanced PS Performance Criteria
Collaborative Initiative to Provide Benchmarks and Assessment Taxonomies for the Technology Professional Services Industry
(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 16, 2008 ) SAN DIEGO – The Technology Professional Services Association (TPSA) today announced a new alliance designed to accelerate the ability for technology companies to mature their professional services capabilities. The Services Excellence Alliance is an open collaboration between TPSA and four leading industry firms: The Insight Group, McMann-Ransford, Neochange, and RTM Consulting.
“I am ecstatic these firms have been willing to apply their deep services expertise to improving the diagnostic tools available for our members,” said TPSA Executive Director Thomas Lah.
The alliance was founded with three main objectives:
- To create a common industry benchmark instrument for technology professional services organizations;
- To create a common taxonomy for assessing opportunities for professional services performance improvement; and
- To accelerate the ability for technology professional services organizations to move from initial problem identification to performance improvement.
“TPSA is aggregating the data our clients need to better understand how their performance compares to peer service organizations,” commented Tom Esposito, former IBM Global Services executive and founder of The INSIGHT Group.
“This data, combined with our expertise, can significantly accelerate success for our clients,” added Esposito.
Dean McMann, the founder of McMann Ransford echoed the enthusiasm. “TPSA is the first industry association for TPS organization that understands the importance of leveraging the unique insights we have been developing for over fifteen years,” said McMann.
Chris Dowse, CEO of Neochange, which has been helping product companies develop new service tactics that drive product adoption, said that “TPSA has a unique voice in helping product companies understand the power the service portfolio can play on overall company success.”
There is no doubt our collaboration on benchmarking with TPSA is helping us collectively move companies along a path of success," said Randy Mysliviec, longtime TPSA member, and CEO of RTM Consulting, experts in resource management and PS business optimization.
