Matt Bacak Discusses Google, Going Green, and Pay-Per-Click

Finding your niche requires research, credibility and knowing who to avoid.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 13, 2008 ) Duluth, GA

Going green has become very popular in recent months. Everywhere you look companies are stressing the fact that they have recycled, and their use of earth friendly products. How does this green movement affect the Internet business world? It depends on what you sell.

If you only sell digital products than you are already green friendly.
What if you have a physical product that you need to ship? How does the Green movement affect drop shipping? Should you change your drop shipping methods to satisfy green customers? Try to stay away from drop shipping if you can, and focus on downloadable products.

If, however, you must drop ship, do not worry about green customers. They can be a pain in the neck. Their efforts to save the environment can put strict limits on your business and they are often unhappy with any changes you make. Avoiding these types of customers in the first place is a wise move.

Using Google to research your niche question:
When researching a niche, the goal is to find out if a good market exists. Do not ignore those markets that have heavy competition, as these areas can still make for a good niche, for two reasons. First, most of the Internet businesses in that competitive niche could be poor marketers. Second, the more people that are in the niche, the more awareness and potential customers there are in the niche.

When conducting your research, also check out ads in Google AdWords. A large amount of “Sponsor Links” indicates a healthy niche. As a general rule, sex, money, and God are always popular niches. If you can apply these three niches at all to your niche then you will make money. Dieting and health are also robust niches. Following your customers spending habits is the best way to find a powerful niche.

Pay-per-click Question:
How you increase your conversion rate in pay-per-click? Most people who do pay-per-click advertising are in a 1-5% conversion ratio. This means that 95% of the people that visit your website leave the page immediately. They may leave because they do not believe you, want to check up on you, or simply are not interested in your offer.

It is in your best interests to have yourself all over the web, so no matter where potential customers go, they will find information on you. This then makes you look like a legitimate, credible expert in the niche.
