Triple George Grill Reviewed by Frommers
Frommer's launches review of the Triple George Grill in downtown Las Vegas on their Web site.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 08, 2008 ) Las Vegas, NV -- The Triple George Grill in downtown Las Vegas has been reviewed by Frommers, a leading travel guide and travel book publisher.
In their review Frommer's says, "We've come to expect Vegas homages to great cities and sights of the world, so perhaps it was inevitable that one day there would be an homage to a restaurant. (Hey, it's where we make pilgrimages!) A virtual replica of the interior of San Francisco's 150-year-old Tadich Grill (though with no business ties to the Bay Area original -- go figure), with a menu that also reflects that institution's influence, this Downtown diner, copy or original, is a welcome addition to a neighborhood that needs more reliable eateries. As with many prefab "diners," the menu is a bit all over the place -- bruschetta and raw oyster appetizers; steaks, corned beef hash, blackened catfish and veal piccata for the main courses -- but all largely in the "comfort food" zone, and all done satisfyingly. Budget diners should note the "George's Favorites" section, with all entrees priced under $15. Don't miss the spicy bacon-wrapped meatloaf. Portions are large and include some generous sides; desserts (including a fine strawberry pie) are fluffy and sweet. What's not to love?"
