How to Act Natural for On Camera Auditions

The Academy of Cinema and Television teaches students how to act natural for on-camera auditions.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 18, 2008 ) Phoenix, AZ - When the Academy of Cinema and Television prepares their students for film or television acting auditions, they strive to teach the students how to act natural. This may sound like a simple task to the average person, but it is amazing how nervous some individuals can become when asked to speak in front of a camera.
Students who have been taught techniques for acting natural for the camera have an edge over the person that has not received any type of training or practice in front of the camera. Camera auditions can be nerve racking, but if train properly, they can turn into lots of fun.

Another tool to prepare you for your audition is to show up early for your audition. According to Jack White, Director of the Academy of Cinema and Television, “students are taught to show up a little early for their on-camera auditions. It is important to arrive early, park, find the location of the audition, maybe use the restroom and fix your hair prior to signing-in with the audition staff.”
White says these simple tasks sound logical to most people, but it is amazing how many new students have never given them a thought. These type of tips along with more in-depth professional training is what all Academy of Cinema and Television students receive – depending on the program the student is enrolled in.
Students like Victoria Cosner, who landed a large role as the Drowned Girl ghost, one of the few good spirits in the horror film The Between in early 2008, are success stories that have to be due to the classes filled with techniques on how to act natural for on-camera auditions.

According to Victoria’s mom, Melissa Cosner, the Academy of Cinema and Television helped Victoria with “her confidence and her communication skills. Plus, Victoria’s successes has even inspired her sister and her brother, who is very active in theater, to get involved in the business.

Professional instructors, teaching professional on-camera techniques have help many to act natural for on-camera auditions.
