Sybase consolidates core operating system for Hebei Province Industrial and Commercial Administrative Management

(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 04, 2008 ) HONG KONG –– Hebei Province Industrial and Commercial Administrative Management Bureau has selected Adaptive Server® Enterprise 15 (ASE 15) and Replication Server® 15 (RS 15) from Sybase to form the database platform for the Bureau's operating system and application software.
The combined implementation of ASE 15 and RS 15 enables effective system integration, data transmission and synchronization, helping to consolidate information on the Bureau's core operation system which is responsible for overseeing companies located in Hebei Province.
Under the authority of the Hebei Province government, Hebei Province Industrial and Commercial Administrative Management Bureau supervises regulatory enforcement of all business activities. Its major duties include managing industrial and commercial entities, business registration, annual inspections, advertising and monitoring of contract agreements in the Province.
The Bureau's main information centre and its 11 regional centres run their operations and referral databases separately on the Sybase ASE 15 platform.
Simultaneously, Sybase Replication Server 15 ensures real-time synchronisation of all databases, enabling immediate upload and download of data.
Information about more than 600,000 business registrations is stored in the Sybase database, enabling high speed data inquiry, while ensuring effective data protection for all parties.
