State of Louisiana Reimburses Training Costs For Businesses With 50 or Less Employees

Dale Carnegie® Training of Middle Louisiana and East Texas (The Winner Institute) announced today they are once again an approved training company for the highly sought after Small Business Employee Training Program --- a program expiring June 30, 2009. This special program is available for any small business who wants to train its employees at little to no out-of-pocket costs. The tuition reimbursement program is coordinated by the state's Department of Labor and will allocate $3,000 per employee.
Highlights of the SBET program are:
Designed to benefit Louisiana employers by assisting in the skill development of existing employees and providing funding for training.
Provides $3000 per employee, per fiscal year for a wide range of standardized workforce training.
Funded by Unemployment Tax contributions at $1.2 million annually.
Eligibility: limited to businesses with 50 or fewer employees. A business must have operated in Louisiana and contributed to the state's Unemployment Insurance System for a minimum of 3 years.
