Guitar oriented social media site InfamousGuitar.com gets a face lift
InfamousGuitar.com, home of the $5,000 Online Guitar Solo Contest, rolls out an entirely new look and feel in response to input from members, partners and sponsors.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 22, 2008 ) Dallas, TX - InfamousGuitar.com, a social media site dedicated to guitar players and guitar fans, rolled out a new website design today. With this rollout and through its member’s feedback, Infamous Publishing seeks to enhance the total user experience at InfamousGuitar.com for its musicians and fans, as well as increase the value to the companies that sponsor its $5,000 Online Guitar Solo Contest.
"We’re constantly listening to the guitar players and guitar fans at our site, and we do our best to roll out new features as quickly as the requests come in,” says John Kirkwood, Co-Founder of Infamous Publishing. “You get to a point where you think, well, we’ve added a lot since we first came out of beta, now it’s time to tie it all together.”
“I’m sure we’re gonna redesign this thing a gazillion times,” jokes Kirkwood. “We received some great feedback and input from our new publisher representative, JV Johnson & Associates, and so we’re sure there’s at least one more redesign coming in the near future. The important thing is that we constantly seek to improve what we’re doing, keeping in mind what our musicians and our sponsors are looking for.”
InfamousGuitar.com has just begun its first monthly guitar competition in May 2008, and has already had hundreds of thousands of pages viewed on its site. Musicians from around the globe are participating in the competition. Many guitar players and fans from the now-complete 2007 Guitar Center King of the Blues competition have migrated to InfamousGuitar.com, and its membership has grown into the hundreds, primarily through word-of-mouth viral marketing. InfamousGuitar.com expects thousands of members and millions of unique visitors during its 2008-2009 Online Guitar Solo Contest.
