InfamousGuitar.com announces J.V. Johnson & Associates as Publishers Representative
InfamousGuitar.com to outsource sales and site representation to experienced New York firm J.V. Johnson & Associates.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 20, 2008 ) Dallas, TX - InfamousGuitar.com, a social media site dedicated to guitar players and guitar fans, announced today an agreement with New York firm J.V. Johnson & Associates, allowing J.V. to represent advertising and sponsorship opportunities for the 2008 Infamous Guitar Online Guitar Solo Contest.
"Finding the right publishers representative was a very difficult process for Infamous Publishing,” reports Sean Hansen, Co-Founder of Infamous Publishing. “We talked with many experienced firms that demonstrated an interest in representing our site, but when it came down to it, there was something missing in all but one of those firms – a passion for music. Finding J.V. Johnson was a stroke of luck for us, as their president Rebecca Carrington and several of their senior staff members are musicians. Rebecca’s depth of music industry familiarity coupled with her company’s 15 years experience in advertising were the magic bullet in helping Infamous Publishing decide on J.V Johnson as the firm to act as our face to the world.”
Carrington is also a co-owner of Dry Hill Studios, a recording studio in upstate New York, a graduate of the Music Industry Program and inaugural inductee to the State University College at Oneonta Music Hall of Fame.
Rebecca and her team are looking forward to getting started. “As a musician, as well as a professional who started her sales and marketing career in the music industry, I’m very excited to bring my firm’s fifteen years experience to bear in this partnership with Infamous Publishing.”
J.V. Johnson & Associates will call on guitar and music companies throughout the US, presenting cost-effective opportunities to sponsor the InfamousGuitar.com online guitar contest. Sponsors will benefit from cross-platform exposure via concurrent Internet, radio, and print advertising campaigns, as well as unique opportunities to interact with the InfamousGuitar.com membership. Advertising on InfamousGuitar.com is available at a fraction of the CPM cost charged by major online publications such as Guitar World Online and Guitar Player Magazine.
InfamousGuitar.com has just begun its first monthly guitar contest in May 2008, and has already had hundreds of thousands of pages viewed on its site. Sponsors such as GuitarPartsCentral.com are supporting the efforts of musicians from around the globe. Many guitar players and fans from the now-complete 2007 Guitar Center King of the Blues competition have migrated to InfamousGuitar.com, and its membership has grown into the hundreds, primarily through word-of-mouth viral marketing. InfamousGuitar.com expects thousands of members and millions of unique visitors during its 2008-2009 Online Guitar Solo Contest.
