NEWPORT FIREFIGHTERS UNION, I.A.F.F. LOCAL 45 AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS
Angel Craddock of Newport High School and Rachel Meisenhelder of Newport Central Catholic High School (NCC) were awarded $1,000 Scholarships from the Newport Firefighters Union, I.A.F.F. Local 45.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 20, 2008 ) Newport, KY – Angel Craddock of Newport High School and Rachel Meisenhelder of Newport Central Catholic High School (NCC) were awarded $1,000 Scholarships from the Newport Firefighters Union, I.A.F.F. Local 45.
The Newport Firefighters award the non-renewable scholarships/grants-in-aid annually to a graduating senior from both Newport High School and Newport Central Catholic to assist with their post-secondary education.
Applicants must be residents of Newport, a graduating senior in good standing with their respective school, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and attend a post-secondary institution within one (1) year of graduating high school.
Craddock maintains a 4.12 WGPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Scholar and a former Cheerleader. Craddock will attend Northern Kentucky University to pursue a post-secondary education in business.
Meisenhelder maintains a 3.54 GPA, is a participating member in groups such as Students for Life, Housing Opportunities of NKY, and is founding member of the faith-sharing group Discussion of Inspiring Readings in Theology at NCC. Meisenhelder has been accepted to attend Thomas Moore College and has interests in both teaching and social work.
