Mineral prices maintain a steady climb on the weakened dollar, rising energy prices and inflation fears. Despite high prices, global copper consumption increased 4.7 percent in 2007 and is expected to increase 3.6 percent in 2008. With the emerging economies of China and India consuming more copper each year, global demand continues to exceed supply. Following the same trend, gold prices also climbed $200/ounce (31 percent) in 2007, and spot gold prices reached a record $1,000 an ounce in March 2008.
Copper King Mining Corp., a junior exploration and development company, is engaged in acquiring and exploring mineral properties in southwestern Utah and is poised to take advantage of opportunities in the market. The company is focused on acquiring mineral properties and exploring for copper, gold, silver and other valuable minerals.
Copper King recently provided additional construction updates concerning its Flotation Processing Mill near Milford, Utah. The concentrate thickener, purchased by the company for the mill’s flotation process, arrived in a nearly new condition this week. The 16’ Denver Thickener is 16' Dia X 9' 6" deep wall height, complete with the Denver Thickener mechanism, tank, drive, rakes and bridge.
