Shiner International Receives World Chinese Entrepreneurs Creativity Medal in Chinese Summit
According to Shiner International Inc. (BEST), the demand for first-rate film packaging in China is expected to grow up to 10 percent annually over the next five to 10 years. The company is focused on leaving its footprint in China’s growing packaging industry, backed by 13 registered Chinese patents, developed by company scientists, as well as several patents pending.
The company engages in the research and development, manufacture, marketing, sale, and distribution of packaging film products and color printed packaging materials, which are primarily used by food and consumer products manufacturers.
As demand for film packaging grows in China, international markets are also expanding; Shiner International’s film products span the global playing field. The company has approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, as well as the European Economic Community for its packaging products.
The company recently announced it was awarded the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Creativity Medal for its industry-leading flexible packaging materials. Shiner received the award during the 4th World Summit of Chinese Entrepreneurs, held in Macau PRC late last fall.
Additionally, two of the company's research and development projects were selected as ''Key Sci- tech Projects of Hainan Province'' by the Department of Science and Technology of Hainan Province PRC.
Shiner's project in the area of advanced ''silicon release coated films development and industrialization'' was recognized for its leading technology focused on helping to industrialize the coated film business. As part of the award recognition, the project received a funding supplement from the government of Hainan province of RMB 200,000 for ongoing product development.
Products of Shiner International include anti-counterfeit film, which is embossed with a multi-dimensional insignia and is used in the packaging of cigarettes, DVDs, and other imitated or pirated products; coated films, a functional packaging film, which can be produced in heat-resistant, shrink-wrap, peelable, or other varieties; and bi-axially oriented polypropylene tobacco film, a box over-wrap film designed to meet the industry requirements for pack appearance, product freshness, and clear optics.
The company also provides surface printing and reverse printing services primarily for consumer goods manufacturers and beverage companies. Its products are used in various industries, such as bakery, beverage, candy/confections, cheese, cosmetics/personal, compact discs, dairy, fruits/vegetables, nuts, pharmaceuticals and tobacco.
