(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 02, 2008 ) Effective April 21, 2008, the Department of Energy mandated new testing procedures and ratings to measure the energy efficiency for Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Multi-Split residential air conditioners and heat pumps. To date, only 2 companies including SANYO have met these strict standards. Manufacturers that have not complied with the terms of the Federal Register are not permitted to sell their products in the United States.

* Mini ECO-i - Multi Split - Multi Zone heat pump and air conditioning systems 36,000 to 60,000 BTU's per hour.
