She is a true embodiemnt of the “American Dream,” becoming the highest-ranking Latina to serve in the Bush administration and the first U.S. Treasurer born outside of the United States. Her dedication and decades of experience have made her strong advocate, leader and inspiration to the Hispanic community in California.
The SHCC will also honor Elizabeth Gallagher, President of SAVI Construction and Vice Chair of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), which has chosen the SHCC as the host Chamber for their 29th Annual Convention and Business Expo September 24th – 27th, 2008.
This year the SHCC celebrates 36 years of business success and continues in its dedication to providing the Sacramento Hispanic business community with the best resources for enhancing the welfare of the local economy. Since its founding in 1972, the SHCC has grown to a membership of more than 700 area businesses.
